If there is a higher power guiding or lives i agree with it here. I wouldn’t want to eat four week old mac and cheese either. For your sake Earl i hope you cleaned the mess up and didn’t leave it for Opal to do it.

Actually, I’m pretty sure a container of mac & cheese falling straight on the floor in front of you would be considered a dog miracle.

The “higher power” in this case is called gravity.

“Do dogs believe in a higher power guiding the course our lives?”Am I missing something or does this sentence not read grammatically correct?

I hope you cleaned up the mess, Earl…otherwise you may need the help of a higher power to protect you from Opal!

In panel one, Earl leaves out the word ‘of’. It should be “course OF our lives”. Earl isn’t much of an ‘attention to detail’ kind of guy, is he?

I told my wife recently that cleaning up after me gives her life a sense of purpose. Just think of how empty her life would be if I weren’t around. I told her if she plays her cards right she will be cleaning up after me for another 20 to 30 years.

It was harsh, I know, but sometimes she needs to be reminded of how good she’s got it, and sometimes I need a distraction to give me time to think up something better.

Well Earl if the Mac and Cheese was 4 weeks old that means that Mac and Cheese should of been gone 3 weeks ago ;-)

I can’t see Opal being that bad a housekeeper for all her fussing, but hey I guess it happens.

There is never any such thing as 4 week old mac&cheese in our fridge. Some for that day and leftovers for the next is all the time it would last with hubby. Also, does their fridge have a poltergeist in it?

Earl’s rule for food in the fridge … if it’s not moving or covered in blue/green fuzz and doesn’t smell like something resurrected from the grave, then it’s edible!

No, the 4 week old mac and cheese became sentient and fell…otherwise it would have crawled on it’s way to Elizabeth, NJ where it would have mated and spawned new life!

Just scrape off the mold and spread it on lutefisk. No one will know the difference.

I believe dogs (animals in general) are gifts from God. I’m with Will Rogers: "If dogs don’t go to heaven, I want to go where they go.

I’m a skeptic. I don’t believe that four-week-old M&C would go “splat”; “thud” is more like it.

I baked a chocolate cake one time and made an error in the measurement of how much baking soda to put in it. I tried feeding it to the birds. They refused to eat it.

After 2 weeks, it’s not Mac & cheese. It could be a steppingstone after 4 weeks.
