Does Roscoe have projecting ESP, or did Earl read his thought balloon ?

Little brain? I think he could just be the smartest character in the strip.

I was hoping that Roscoe’s response would have been “To get away from the craziness of you and Opal!”

A man in California gained favor with God due to the sincerity of his prayers. God appeared to him and told him because of the devoutness of his prayers he would grant him a wish. The man asked for a highway to be built from the shore of California to Hawaii so he could drive back and forth. God replied, “It is not the amount of steel or concrete involved. You know I am capable of handling both of those but I thought you would ask for something more in line with what Solomon asked for when I posed this to him and he asked for wisdom”. The man thought and then asked God to help him understand women. He said, “I want to understand how they think. I want to know when they say yes if they really mean yes or if they actually mean no.” God replied, “Do you want that to be a 2 lane highway or a 4 lane highway?”

Hope that Earl can read Roscoe’s thoughts enough to find out where he buried his collar. Getting the tags replaced can be a nuisance.

Very little brain, perhaps, but more like very large in adventure. Looks like you got a ride home.

Honestly I’m surprised that Earl is able to pick up and carry Roscoe with so little visible effort.

I kind of feel let down. I was looking forward to some funny but safe antics for a few days.

They both like running away from home. Maybe it would do Earl some good.

Third panel reminiscent of our long ago new puppy, who I searched and searched, called and called, throughout the house, only to at last find him entrapped when I closed my recliner.

Opal’s brain is way too complex and convoluted, whereas Roscoe thinks just like him.
