Not all bugs are true bugs. For example, lovebugs are flies, ladybugs are beetles, mudbugs are crustaceans, and the Love Bug was a VW Beetle in a 1969 movie staring Dean Jones.
On an episode of ‘The Beverly Hillbillies’, Granny had a special ‘weather beetle’ named Cecil. It accurately predicted rain when the Weather Bureau did not.
Sorry, Opal, but Hades is not a place. Hades is an ancient Greek god, ruler of the underworld, where all go upon dying – but except in very unusual cases (e.g. Sisyphus), there is neither punishment nor reward; it’s where the dead hang out.
My son gave a tarantula to me a few Christmases ago because I had caught a colorful spider in the house and named it Larry. Didn’t see that one coming!
That’s the trick to not be afraid. I always name my house spiders! I love a good kitchen spider, though I’ve not had any since I remodeled the kitchen. :(
I sometimes watch these short videos on YouTube when I’m trying to fall asleep called “Miniscule.” It’s animated but not cartoony and is all about the adventures of various bugs, spiders, ants etc. It’s very well done even winning quite a few awards over the years

My mother wouldn’t let us children kill spiders. Actual conversatio with her:
Mom: Don’t kill the spiders. They kill bugs.
Me: Mom, Raid kills bugs including spiders!

Hades is not a polite synonym for Hell.
