This is why I live in apartments that come are “all utilities included.” You always know exactly how much you are spending, so you don’t have to budget for gas and electricity. I could get a bigger apartment for the same money, but I would have to sit in the dark! Better a smaller space that is well-lit and warm.

All the way up to 62 degrees! She is splurging! I rarely go above 55 in the winter. Do NOT have air conditioning - but when it gets hot - I turn on a fan close to wherever I happen to be. I have a two story house and heat travels up. So If I set the thermostat as high as 58 degrees in the winter - it has become 68 degrees by the time that it gets upstairs. A thermostat set at 62 degrees would be 72 degrees by the time it got upstairs. WAY too warm to sleep comfortably.

You know, Deborah, electric fans use a lot of power too, anything with a motor is going to keep you bankrupt, I guess in the winter, we’ll all be buying snuggies. I don’t know about the summer.
