Out of my paternal grandparents’ grandchildren, I’m the eighth of eight. If they were still alive, that wouldn’t be much of a “show and tell,” but would still be nice.

poppa the elderly gentleman we bought our house from, did the same thing! Our first year in the house, he called us up at midnite New Year’s Eve to see how we were and wish us a Happy New Year! He was at one of his neighbors homes, you could tell he had a bit too much to drink! I wondered what happened when he got home because his wife of 50+ years was a tea totoaler!

My mother even carried a small album in her purse labeled “SOG with PIP”. (Silly old Grandma with Pictures in Purse.)

now take your arms and spread them as far as you can from side to side and say:
“this is how much you care about your grandkids”
then hold two fingers together about a quarter inch apart and say
this is how much I care about your grandkids
ooo , that was rude!

I once met a fellow that bragged about his grandkids, and offered to show us pictures of his “pride and joy.”
He showed us pix of cleaning products.

I love the Seinfeld episode with the woman showing Elaine pics of her baby.
