Gweedo, you assume that because all of the overweight people you know are severely out of shape – not all of us are.

However, props for using “regimen” correctly, rather than the currently-popular “regime.”

Pluggers frequently drop dead despite eating an apple a day.

Yep. Mr. Brookins took over both comics after the death of their original creator, Jeff Macnelly. (I think I spelled that right.)

This is how I would love to eat my “apple a day” too … if only I could! But unlike this particular plugger, I know my body’s limitations for this kind of food on a daily basis!

And I had one that weighed over 300 most of her adult life and lived to be 95. So much for the “rule” that the over-weight die young.

My overweight sister-in-law whom I loved dearly had a heart-attack and died 13 years ago at the very young age of 59. Carrying this much weight around on you is not good and can be extremely dangerous to your health.

Yes, it can be dangerous – but it isn’t always, and staying rail-thin isn’t good for most people either. Some people actually look like that when they’re at their peak condition – don’t buy into the hype of the fitness & fashion industries, they’re just looking to make a buck like everyone else. Yes, some people die young because of morbid obesity (and some, due to anorexia), but most people should just find their own equilibrium and maintain it.
