I got an HDTV in November 2010 and it takes nearly 10 seconds to have the picture come on. I got it as a replacement for a 22 year-old analog TV that was taking about 5 seconds to “warm up”. The Digital converter boxes gave out 12 and 14 months after I bought them. So much for progress!!!

Have to wait for the tubes to warm up in darn near everything.Groan! Whoever said youth is wasted on the young was spot on.

I wish I had a tube radio! they are better than the digital ones that need antennas.
