They gotta make a trip to the optometrist again; they ain’t reading the “push and twist” print on the caps carefully.

You can request that the pharmacist put them in containers with non-childproof caps, if you want.

Even when I was a small pup, I didn’t get why adults found those things so hard to open. Both then and now (I’m 41), I wonder what part of push down and turn do people find so difficult to understand? And they’re really only toddler proof. I could open those so easily from about 5 years old that my Mother would have me to open her pill bottles for her.

i could comment my agreement in an ordinary way. But this relevant ‘toon really makes me want to use an old saying from way back in the 80’s or 70’s or way way back , so I will. RIGHT ON! But of course we all know the caps go left off ☼

My nemesis is first aligning the two invisible arrows with my aging eyes and then attempting to push up/pry the cap with my arthritic thumb. Yessir, the band saw is my friend.

The worst one I ever had was my migraine medicine. Not in a bottle, but in one of those bubble sealed things. Had to find the little corner of the thick paper and peel it off, then and only then, could you push the pill through the back of the foil. Could not push it through the front plastic. Trying to do all that with a splitting headache only made it worse.

try push down and turn when your knuckles are the size of walnuts, and you can no longer close all the fingers on your hand.
