Usually too much aspirin, Coumadin and/or other blood-thinners that put us in the Purple Skin Club. Aging causes paper-thin skin and so the spots result. Not for me at 78, but them dam ‘phlebotomists’ (vampires) are walking Claymores…
That’s been happening to me for years now. I’d bang a body part (like my knee, shin, hip, etc.) on something and think: “Wow! That’s really going to leave a mark!” (bruise) and am surprised when it doesn’t. Other times, mysterious bruises will sometimes appear here and there out of nowhere and I can’t remember hitting that area on anything recently.
I love going to the doctor and getting the raised eyebrow of “does your husband beat you” from my bruises. I have no idea where they come from. I bruise easy, I’m a klutz and I own large dogs. ’nuff said.
in my case I have high functioning autism. in some circles it is called aspergers. due to it, I’m a bit clumsy. so what I said about my bruises is correct. not only do I bruise easily. but I can not recall where most of them came from.
