My wife’s parents paid $80.00 for her wedding dress. About 3 years ago, she paid $104.00 for a pair of ‘Skechers’ ! ! ! So, I don’t think she is a Plugger’ ! ! !!
Some of us Pluggers have to pay that much for our shoes. By the time you get the right support in the the right places in your made in the USA tennis shoes (only one company left) it costs over $124.00 for good shoes that will last more than 6 months.
My regular shoes cost more than my wedding dress, and three times what I paid for my first car. (I wear SAS shoes…pure comfort, and they last about ten years, something that old car didn’t!). Tires cost $25 back then, too. On the other hand, I was making 61cents an hour at a fast food place.
I haven’t worn sneakers since I wore out my “Mr. Rodgers’” shoes years ago. And I’ve never owned a wedding dress.I’d have been the only guy in the shop! ;)

This is why I love Pay Less Shoe Source, $30.00 for a pair of comfortable shoes that last me 5 years. I’m to cheap to any thing else.
