I sometimes write them on an index card and then use the index card for the book marker. Recently I tried reading David Copperfield. The card was filled front and back before I was a fourth of the way into the book. Finally I gave it up.

Hubby and I have been reading David Weber’s “Safehold” series. The books are huge (600+ pages) and he only publishes one a year. We just finished the 8th volume, so I went online and purchased the first seven and we’ve been rereading the entire thing from the beginning.

My wife read a book a few months ago that she had to write down all of the characters in it to keep track of them. I believe there was close to 50 different people in that book.

The Game of Thrones books are like that. For me, so were the Tolkein books
