We missed the original Mickey Mouse Club when we were kids back in the 60’s, and The New Mickey Mouse (70’s version) didn’t last very long (nether did The New Howdy Doody Show), and we didn’t see the one that ran on the Disney Channel in late 80’s because back then, The Disney Channel used to be a Premium Channel.
I was born in 1970 and watched the original Mickey Mouse Club reruns every sunday here in Mexico, obviously in Spanish. Didn´t care much of it except for the cartoons, which were not many. Followed by Abbot and Costello movies. The Who´s on First sketch made no sense since it was not well translated.

I never actually grew up with the Mickey Mouse Club, but the song still rings in my ears.

My first love was Annette Funicello. She was the only Mouseketeer with “bumps”. I dumped her for Connie Francis because she could REALLY sing.

I was never a big Disney fan…… I preferred the original books to their animations. I do, however, like Phineas and Ferb!
