I bought a full size couch, love seat, recliner and TV stand…a friend of mine loaded all of it on the back of my Ranger pickup….the guys at the store said it couldn’t be done….and they all watched it be done!!! Guess we’re official Pluggers…
Oh, I ache when I see this cartoon! We’ve been moving out of a 3 bedroom house this weekend, without professional help. Two of us in our mid-50’s with significant health issues, and our two 20-something sons. We did have help (instead of our sons) for most of the day from a former co-worker and his young (hasn’t hit puberty yet) son. But then we had to drive 90 miles, and unload it that evening without their help. Our sons are calling us slave drivers, since we insist they help. So far, one dresser, a small wood desk, and one small chair cushion jumped off. (The dresser & desk jumped off when no one was following. The chair cushion flew off while I was following the flat bed truck & 16’ open trailer last evening, but I couldn’t get my husband’s attention to pull over until a mile had passed. Thankfully, he stopped in time to prevent two larger (and custom made) cushions from flying off. Thankfully, Sunday is still supposed to be a day of rest in our family, so no major work. But tomorrow, I make the 180 mile round trip again, to get the last of the stuff loaded all by myself, and finish vacuuming, etc. High temps and humid (or raining) weather to boot!.
