Leave it up so they know who was there. And who cared enough to not pee on the seat. And who cared enough to ensure that the next person in (if it was a guy) wouldn’t pee on the seat either. Now that’s really being a caring gentleman!

When I had to clean both, most of teh time the men’s was worse. However there were also times the women’s was a nightmare.

I’m for the family bathroom. For mom’s who have to bring their sons to the bathroom, for instance. Not too long ago I saw a poor youngster who seemed slightly embarrassed to still have to go to the ladies room with his mom. Alas, there was no “family bathroom” to use instead.

Women were NOT meant to pee standing up. Unless you have atrocious personal habits, the skin on your backside and thighs is cleaner than your hands. (Not exposed to air or germs on counter tops, etc.) Out your clean skin on a clean seat and pee the way Nature intended. If you’re worried, wipe the seat with a damp towel and then sit down. Yeesh!

I was raised with 4 sisters, and have been married twice for a total of 24 years. I’m trained. I always put the seat back down. Even at home. Thought about breaking that habit then thought, eh, wth.

I bet women’s public toilets are dirtier because they use them for 2 if not 3 things as opposed to men, who have an alternative fixture for the most common thing done in the bathroom.

I would recommend those tissue paper “gaskets” that are provided except that the AMA has said that they are worthless. They are too absorbent and pick up and transmit whatever they are set on. Being that absorbent, they are, however, really good for blotting the excess oil from one’s face.

Is the bear married to a rabbit/kangaroo to day? Isn’t he breaking some kind of biblical injunction?

Sulphur Springs, Texas has glass-walled public toilets in their town square. Of course, for modesty’s sake, you can only see out; but I’m quite sure some folks are nervous when they stand or sit with a view of the downtown area just a few feet away…

Or you could just sit, like the other half. Neater. No splashing on the floor.

That is a dilemma! I was brought up to always, always, close the seat AND the lid. “Nobody wants to look at the other end of the sewer,” I was told.
