Time to rearrange the kitchen, and invest in a step stool for the stuff you rarely use. Although, I will admit that the fry pan I used for every meal in the 1960s has become a rarely used item, and the grease that went in it has been replaced with pan spray.
mmmm….when I was very first married I put the put the shower gift of almost a dozen Pyrex pieces up in a cupboard above the counter. When I opened the cupboard later and they came cascading down on me I learned the lesson: NEVER put heavy stuff above your head.

I solved that prob. I leave both of my cast pan/with lids on the stove .The smallest one /w lid is on the microwave !
