My father died when most of my younger siblings were still in school. One of my sisters, age 15 or so, a “wild child,” brought home some older guy she was going to run away from home and live with. My mother was at work at the time. My oldest brother, a rather tall and husky mountain guy, just told the guy calmly, "I’d really be p***** if anything bad happened to my little sister. " The guy changed his mind and left by himself!
