These days, there is nothing like a card in the mail to cheer one up.

That’s only when sending stamped large postcards which are 0.55 versus average postcards which are 0.35

Could buy $2.50 cards. Then it would be a better bargain.

Yes,but the grandkids still love getting something in the mail. We send things from the east coast to Alaska. What a bargain to send things all that way.

?…..go to any drug store, any department store , any grocery store and you’ll see an array of greeting cards for sale.

and, is this a subtle dig at the cost of postage?…..

why should postage fees not rise when gasoline, groceries, and EVERYthing else does?

Growing up in a small town, the post office was the place to get the news - only a weekly paper but announcements were put on a board in the lobby so it was the ‘daily’ local news area. Whenever they threaten to start closing post offices-the small town ones, of course, I cringe.

Geez. Talk about cheap.
