    I just did that last Thursday…in the freezing cold. Also, this is my first vehicle with a rear window wiper and it took me a long time to figure out how to get the old wiper off.

    Our previous house, the furnace died Dec. 17th, took three weeks to get a new one installed. Our current house, in January the thermostat went weird and refused to use the heat pump. Running the backup heaters was rather pricey. I try to keep ahead of problems, but …

    Yep, absolutely. Been there and done that at a gas station on the east side of Snoqualmie Pass, in a blizzard. It didn’t help much.

    Side note here; To answer the question (if anybody cares) “has unca jim been heard from lately?” The answer is; the ‘annual winter visitors’ are parked in the house for a few months and they find no sense in me spending anymore than seven minutes per day on my computer (one of my latest ‘builds’) and so………. well, you know…

    The roof leaks when it raining, it’s to wet and dangerous to patch it, when it not raining it’s not leaking.
