Over the years I’ve learned to have indoor footwear and strictly outdoor footwear. One never knows what one may step in while outside. Plus, my “just going out to grab the mail” often turns into a longer walk-about around the yard, doing this and that.

Haven’t wore anything but slippers in over a year. Very little snow this winter.

Can you even buy sneakers any more? Crossfit shoes, running, jogging, basketball, etc – very specialized.

Our neighborhood has a community mailbox about three houses down from us so it’s usually a good idea to wear sneakers to walk down and check it.

My mailbox is a quarter mile from my door. It is a nice walk, but no place for slippers.
