Why am I commenting?

Usually I forget to unload the most perishable item in the car after a trip to the store.

Another I hate when that happens moment !

Yep, been there.

Old, old joke: a Pastor asks one of his elderly parishioners, if she thinks about the hereafter. Parishioner replys that she thinks about it all the time; every time she goes into a room, she asks herself what she’s here after.

Our brain “resets” to whatever the purpose is of the room you entered. If you walk into the bedroom, you might automatically get sleepy. If you go into the kitchen you may feel hungry and totally forget what you were going to put on the shopping list.

Or is that just me?

It’s the doorways fault!

It’s surprising, though, what you find that you didn’t go in there to look for.

Where did I come in here from?

It’s a scientifically proven fact that the instant you walk thru them, doorways have the power to suck the reason you came in right out of your head.

They must think about the hereafter – they go somewhere to get something, then they wonder what they’re here after.

Happens to me all the time. But if I go back to where I came from, I’ll suddenly remember what I needed.

Sometimes it takes me days to remember . . . :)

My wife gives me a lot of guff about this…. because I do this BOTH existentially and experientially! :)

Been there, done that, usually several times a day.

Often when I forget why I’m in the bathroom it’s because I was originally aiming for the kitchen.
