Mine come from “Scam Likely”.

The scammers are getting really clever. I received an email supposed from my health insurance urgently requesting that I register my vaccination. Other than the strange request, the email looked perfect in every way that I could tell except the address had “news.” added to the email their true email address. I called my health insurance and their response (from three different departments) was “We have no record of such an email from us.” For us pluggers; guard your info…….

The problem with being a Plugger is that you get more calls from telemarketers than friends.;/

Has anybody else been getting calls from Amazon in Dayton OH about a $900 charge on you credit card? It seems terribly important. So important that one day they called 16 times. Plus I didn’t know that Amazon moved from Seattle WA.

AKA phone solicitors.

Like the song said "Just leave a message and maybe I’ll call " ……………..

If it’s important, they’ll leave a message. And if it’s not…they won’t!

Oddly, I’ve been getting the fake “your Social Security Number will be suspended…etc..” calls lately on my WORK phone. My US Government-issued work phone. In my Federal Government office!

Only thing better would be if I were still at my old job. At the Social Security Office!

My friend Q tells me that it’s a conspiracy by the telecoms to get us to drop our inexpensive landline service and use our cell phones more, which will activate the computer chips that Bill Gates has placed in the COVID-19 vaccines – the real reason that Melinda is divorcing him.

Two words – Nomorobo. This free app has cut down on spam calls to my landline. I also find that NOT saying “hello” or “hi” has resulted in almost no voicemails being left. (Don’t let the telespammers know about this)

I rarely see “Unavailable”, but if it isn’t in my contact list, it goes to voicemail.

Land line or cell phone, No Name and/or No Number – NO ANSWER. At least my cell phone takes out most of them before it rings.

Working on a chip to auto transfer all calls to 202-456-1111 (White House) or 888-225-5322 (FCC)

Love the call about your car warranty is about to expire!!! Like I said telemarketers and the news media are annoying as hell!!!

Pluggers can’t believe that anybody actually stresses over unavailable/unknown calls, tho for some, ANY call is welcome company.

This is one of the few strips that strongly implies that “pluggers” are just plain stupid. Not so!

If it was illegal to spoof a number, we could hold the telcom’s accountable for aiding and abetting.

We have our answering machine on all the time – the phone rings, we freeze in place, message plays, no one there and we go back to what we doing – this must happen at least 4 times a week.

Our phone co forced us to change from our old copper wire phone lines to fiber optic – what a mistake they are!! Now we can’t hang up if we make a call as the system calls us back to go on with the call. We cannot tell who is calling on our house line as no way to see the number or set different ringers.

I have several ringers on my cell phone – one for husband, one for family, one for members of our reenactment unit and one for members of my embroidery guild. If I hear one of those ringers (for call or text) I know to answer – anyone else – it can wait as it is fake.

One thing I have learned though, since having a cell phone – good news comes by email or text, bad news comes by phone calls.
