At almost 38, I tend to get those too, but hey, aren’t most of us regardless what age we become?

Your body isn’t as spry at, say 52 as it was when it was 21.;-D

Your not in as good of shape as you were when you were younger, and the older you get the worse shape your in.

Often it’s “Where did that pain come from?”

Sometimes it’s “What did I do?”

Usually it’s “Which way should I (try to) move?”

It’s always fun getting a new and exciting pain and wondering if it’s a tweak, or something you’ll be feeling every day for the rest of your life.

I keep forgetting I’m not as young as I remember being not that long ago. A lot of people under 45 have trouble understanding that one.

If I wake up with a little pain at least I know I’m still alive…lol.

I know exactly when and where each pain started. None of this “wear and tear” for me.

Lose about 50kg and those pains will reduce greatly.

They’re like a Nija warrior, they sneak up on you when you least expect them.

It was when you started to make ‘the noise’ when you sit down, or stand up, etc.

Let’s see….. RA at 13, it was mid school year when I started having issues, so around March or April. I walked over to the hospital at lunch time so it was nice weather. Ruptured 3 disks in the low back in 91, so there is that as well. So growing old pains? I wish I knew what a pain free day was!!!!

Pains as well as aches are like family and acquaintances. They let you know you’re still alive so you learn to sort of like to see them show up but mostly you love to see them go.

Only “cure” I’ve found, though very-temporary, is to go into town, and see someone in worse-health than myself at age 73, and still be thankful that I can make those painful steps by myself, yet. All the while knowing I will eventually-become as immobile and dependant on others as they are now, soon.

If not for my-wife? I just won’t say what my-“solution” might involve. She’s the ONLY-reason I fight it, and if not for her? I’d literally say to hell with today’s “healthcare” and doctors.

Yet, for some reason, she’s still here, after 40-years of marriage. Must be my-railroader’s pension, as she plans to retire at 62-herself? ☺!

Life expectancy for most pluggers was < 70 when they were born. Fun fact, when Social Security was first set up with a 65 retirement age the male life expectancy was 57 and the female 60.

As Lowell George and Little Feat sang in Old Folks Boogie, “So you know, that you’re over the hill, When your mind makes a promise that your body can’t fill”
