A small charge card case will do nowadays, not much to fold.

Do male pluggers still keep their wallets in their back pockets? I wear shirts with buttoned breast pockets just to keep my thin billfold with a small amount of cash cash and credit card.

I’ve had a belt wallet for decades. Makes it easy to get at when driving.

I never had a purse or a pocketbook. I have always carried a shoulder bag. In school, I used my bag to hold my books, notebook, glasses, water bottle, etc. And sometimes it carried my boyfriend’s ‘stuff’ as well. As a mother, my shoulder bag carried baby supplies, toys, extra clothes — for the kids and spouse. At work, I had a briefcase for my computer and work folders and a shoulder bag for my personal ‘stuff’. When traveling, that bag would hold all my normal stuff and a change of clothes, meds, snacks, books — everything I might need on the plane. As a retiree I still carry a shoulder bag, although it is a smaller version. Much handier to have it on my shoulder so I have both hands free.

For me, while growing up, it was usually “Billfold”. And on the farm …

… “Dinner” was the noon meal, “Supper” the evening meal.

… And our “Garage” we usually called the “Car Shed”.

I don’t fold my “bills”: I cuss at them and then throw them on the desk to be paid.

Billfold? I’m not going to call it an “Animal-Skinned Paper or Plastic Money Storage Device”.

Although “wallet” seems to do just fine, I never saw the “wall” in it…

I’ve never carried it in a back pocket. Too easy to work it’s way out when lifting and shoving, not to mention the sub-humans who “accidently” bump you in a line. If I’m doing work in the field, it still likes to work it’s way out, esp. brush-hogging! Stays with the wife, along with the belt-clipped keys!

I can tell instantly when that wallet/billfold is NOT-in that front-left pocket, it’s a hang-up of mine, to constantly-feel for it before I drive!
