Not much of a Plugger if you don’t regularly whisper sweet nothings in your wife’s ear. I do it all the time. Usually – “Love you more. Thanks for putting up with me”.
I’m not that shy. People who know I forget names and even face. Especially if it’s been a while. I started as a kid, unable to tell one nun from another outside of classes and it’s been downhill from there.
We only know the neighbor to our right and to our left. There is a neighbor across the street that we wave back and forth at – but he lives across a 4 lane main road and in a different community so that is all the contact we have with him. (Last December I said to husband that after 20 or so years we should mail him a Christmas card and introduce ourselves to him – a “new neighbor” since he moved in later we did by 10 years, husband agreed – didn’t get a chance to send cards at all last Christmas. Maybe this coming Christmas.

I suspect that Plugger wives had enough “sweet nothings” long ago and are glad for all the “practical somethings” their husbands do.

That’s the only thing my ‘Plugger’ of a wife would hear if I were to whisper—only problem is: she didn’t want to hear them ! ! ! !

Sometimes you don’t have to say a thing – she just knows to tell you the guy’s name without you even having to ask.

As someone who has face blindness I appreciate anyone who helps with adding a name to a face.
