I just get a series of two hour naps due to bathroom breaks! All of this old age wisdom doesn’t come free I guess.

I had a plugger night last night, so restless the cat abandoned her spot on the bed.

Careful. That’s a slippery slope. It gets to the point you are talking about your sleep in your sleep . No jury in the world would convict. :)

And then I had to get up at 4:30 to be in my deer stand before sunrise.

Since the switch back to Standard Time, I still haven’t found that missing hour. The Sun is setting in the middle of the afternoon and my brain starts it’s “You’re getting sleepy, sleeeepy.” routine before dinner.

Neither of us is a morning person. We used to be tied to his work schedule so he would get up to be at work by 8:30 am start of day. I worked on my own and did not make work appointments before 10 am. We slept in on the weekends.

Then he quit his job about 10-15 years ago. No longer tied to same. We kept going to bed and sleeping later and later. Then came Covid. No need to wake up in time for anything. We have progressed to the point where it is currently 2:50 am and he is upstairs on his computer (though can hear him and he will be down here soon) and I am downstairs on my laptop (have to some time during the day apart). We will come down in a short while and we will have our third meal of the day – late night snack. We will go up to bed around 4 am. He will go to sleep – most nights. I will not fall asleep until 5 or 6 am. We will get up at about noon or 1 pm unless we have a reason to get up earlier – such as reenactment event or my embroidery chapter meeting (tomorrow).

We are trying to work our way back to a more normal schedule as we have not gone to some reenactment events (including one at which we would have been paid to craft demos) due to getting up and dressed in time to get there timely. (18th century clothing takes much more time to put on and we each have to help each other with same.)
