Pooch Cafe by Paul Gilligan for July 23, 2009
Transcript:
Poncho: Um, kidnapper? Um, we're a little embarrassed here, you've obviously put a lot of work into this, but, um... We don't know who you are. Kidnapper: WHAT?? After all you've taken from me, after running my life, you don't even know who I am?? Poncho: Could you give us, sort of, a little hint? Kidnapper: Poncho Perry Pooch, you have wronged me so!! Orlando: Ah, whew, it's your bad. Poncho: Ah, nuts! This really felt like it was going to be you.

At least it wasn’t Tiberius.

I rather like Tiberious, myself. Think I’ll get an English mastiff and call him Tiberious.

cleokaya over 15 years ago
Paul, nice. I love a dog with a middle name. I too initially thought Orlando had something to do with it.

This dog has obviously been doing his research.

Some there are that ‘neath the pleasant plank are born, there to pass the hours in happy puppy pleasures. And some ‘neath life’s loverly limbs lie to find each new day’s dawning. Each to their humble beginning Oh happy day when none are disturbed in their joy. Let the Gods rejoice, oh yes, let the Gods rejoice.

Hee hee I outsmarted them. I clicked on your link Lisa and I quick like saved the comic before the notice came on that I can’t look at that since I’m not a genius member. Now I know what happened. As Poncho was saving Plankie this dog lost his rotting tree branch which was probably just as sentimental to him as Plankie is to Poncho. I hope we will hear the whole story about this.

This really rings true. Sometimes we get hurt and angry. We spend our lives bitter and unforgiving, plotting revenge. Meanwhile, the object of our hatred doesn’t even know we exist. Better by far to just let it go and get on with life!
In other news… Perry???
mrsullenbeauty over 15 years ago

Maybe the kidnapper plans to send plankie down the river just like his tree branch
