Apparently, they didn’t migrate south at all – just spent the winter at a Motel 6.

Yeah, I think the idea was to convey that Sheldon didn’t actually migrate but drove or took a plane. I think it would have been easier to understand if they’d said “you left your iPad on the plane” or “you left your charger in the trunk of the rental car”.I guess Sheldon has finally stopped over-bobbing.
