I have a pekingese and he rarely barks. His bark isn’t a high pitched yap either it’s more like a low growl.
Yeah, Pekes usually have a low bark for a beastie that size. They do function as excellent dust mops, though. Pekes are sorta like a proto-roomba.

Didn’t know that about Pekes. I have a corgi and her bark tends to be a yap. They’re reallly not a small dog (just short) so I would think it would be a deeper sound. Not really. They make great bark alarms when someone comes to the door.
