The alternative is to put a newspaper down in the yard and order him to do his business there, like a puppy. Of course, no one buys hardcopy newspapers anymore…

On your way home, Chaz, why not go to a pet store (hopefully not closed upon arrival) and buy a new collar and leash for Poncho?

Well, to be fair, Chaz said “dissuade”, not “prevent”.

But then again, there’s other things that can be tied around a dog’s neck to take him for a walk. (I was going to say, there’s more than one way to skin a cat, but she’s a cat person… and so am I.)

With Chaz’s luck, he’ll arrive home in time to find the fire department putting out a house fire caused by the burning leash…

Alright, Poncho just hold it. You hold it right there Mister!

Of course the idea that Poncho needs to be “walked” when he is capable of roaming freely to the cafe and other locations is a bit of a stretch.

Can’t he just… go outside? I mean, we see him off on his own pretty much all the time.

Of course he needs “walkies” Look at the havoc that rains when he goes out alone!!!!!
