Yick. Change the water in the bowl daily at least, more is even better. I mean when you think about it, at least the toilet get fresh water regularly during the day. Most places. Okay, more yick. Just saying.
I always thought our dog didn’t like “room temperature” water since she would just go by her dish and smell the water, if it wasn’t fresh she would pass, which would give me a clue to change it. For what’s it’s worth, I changed our dog’s water every time I would sit down in the kitchen to have a coffee, which was about 5 or 6 times a day…

Ew! But yes it is true. Change your doggie’s water when it is half full, or half empty. Especially if it is shared!
