Our dogs are the same way but if I say “Walkie” weather no longer matters ! We walk no matter what the weather is. Paul must be on vacation this one came from 2014 also.
We had a dog who was part Shetland Sheepdog. Rain, snow-usually nothing bothered her. Only once was it raining sooo hard she hesitated. Waited about a minute then it let up ever so slightly. Then it was okay, it’s no longer too hard to go out.
I inherited a12 year old Schnauzer years ago that had lived her entire life with a very elderly woman. She refused to go out in the rain so I had to make sure that she was under the eaves of our house or under branches when she did her business. She also wasn’t fond of walking on grass
Everyone’s post about what their dogs liked or not about rain reminds me of the dogs we had, since all of them did something like that at one time or another, especially about loving the snow. Our dogs would run into powdery snow and if it was snowing at the same time, they would stick out their tongue and try to catch it, just like the children used to do…

No, I don’t think you could reach it, Poncho.

I used to have a dog where I had to do the very same thing. He would not go out in the rain unless I had an umbrella up for him.

Now Poncho doesn’t have to go anymore. (Old fart joke).

Poncho didn’t have to “go” until he got his leg wet!

My dog would touch the ground as little as possible while having to squat in wet grass.
Amazing to watch her managing to do her business on two legs, with the other two paws held up in the air.
She tried for one leg down, three up, but couldn’t do it.
