Memories/Of the time our dog got skunked/Stinky smelly memories/Of the way she smelled.

It’s everyone else’s fault but my own.

Our garage band was practicing one night when the owner’s dog encountered a skunk outside and then ran into the garage. When I got home later, I could smell it in my guitar case. It permeates everything.

Burn that laundry hamper, and any contents.

It isn’t that the smell has permeated the house, it is that the idea of the smell is still in the brain.

This condition is called olfactory fatigue.
