    There are still some kite-heads out there – a couple of kids on my street built a SWEET french military kite* for a science project last month and then built a kite ferry to run up the line to drop parachute men** (I had NO idea you could still buy those, box of 30 for 10 bucks, whaddya know) over the neighbourhood. Sadly, they could not get the doors of the ferry to open reliably so they only managed one drop, but the concept was ace.

    they spooled out 800 meters of line, so they had a pretty good result for their worksexist? maybe, but I’m just going by what it said on the tube they came in. :)

    Kite eating Tree needs to move to Happy³ s neighborhood. Lincoln City has (had?) a kite-flying festival every summer…
