Poncho learns the mystery of vacation…maybe…

It’s like camping, but in a house.

Why?

“It builds character!”

That does NOT sound like fun!

I call that a cabin. A cottage is a small house, but with modern amenities.

Buy a home near a river, or a forest, or whatever floats your boat; and there’s your cottage.

A developer is building “cottages”, all alike and lined up next to each other. Doesn’t have any of the CHARM you might expect.

Growing up, my big sisters said we made them go camping when they were bad.

Sounds more like a cabin than a cottage…

why do people think such a thing is fun ?

I learned a lot about cabin/cottage living when I was a kid. How to draw and haul water. How to split wood and cook on a wood stove. How to use an out house. Sooo, now I know all that. Let’s go to Sandals and have a Mai Tai on the beach.

Yes, but WHY?

I’d love to see Poncho meet all sorts of wild animals. Except that he’d probably be a bad influence on them …
