For a single person to rent someplace to live here in Northern CA for 30 or 40% of net income,,,that first step in “fixing” your problem had better be to get a really good job, and not be poor any more….30% of a poor person’s net income wouldn’t rent a closet.

Financial advice is NOT really a “craft”. Get on with the crafting side of the story-line. Everyone’s finances are different and you are alienating several of your potential followers! Getting ready to drop this strip if it doesn’t move along shortly.

Is this strip supposed to be satire or something?

It’s definitely not funny, although it sounds like it’s trying to be a joke.

Read the About Poorcraft blurb, folks. Seems some of you seem to be lacking in reading comprehension. ;)

If you’re cramping about how much the rent is where you live, remember that living well is holistic, that is, it involves every aspect of your life. That includes where you live. You craft it all, and you have choices. You can’t determine to live well, meaning truly well, not enslaved to a marginal, precarious existence by imposing artificial limits on yourself. If the problem is that the cost of living is too high where you are, go where it is not or learn to live differently, and leave the others to rot there. This is about changes.
