I talk to myself a lot when I’m working or studying. Somehow hearing it out loud lets me process better. I have this theory that talking to yourself when you’re alone is fine, but talking to yourself when there are people present to bounce ideas off of is pushing it.

I have talked to myself to remember something, hear how it sounded, told myself how dumb I was, argued with myself over an idea, and told a few people that I was the only intelligent person I could find to talk with. Does singing alone count? Put me in with Susan.

It’s alright to ask yourself a question. The time to worry is when you answer yourself…

I don’t mind that I talk to myself when I’m alone. It is embarrassing to find myself doing it in public. I’m thinking of getting a fake Blue Tooth and then I can call myself and look like everyone else walking down the street talking into thin air.

One thing about talking to yourself – you always have an intelligent audience.
