I have never had any interest in the Kardashians, or Paris Hilton before them, or whoever was the bimbo du jour before that. Unfortunately, they are still around.
I never understood the appeal of the Kardashians, and I still don’t. I reckon the only explanation for it is the underlying principle of “Mad” magazine: the world likes trash.
Look, what makes them important is basically how much TIME you’ve spent watching them…obviously the reason they seem so “wrong” and empty is because they are so “genius”at ONLY one thing: getting attention. “Look at me, Look at me,” in a grownup, is grating on the sensibilities to many.
It’s that mixed emotions: it seems right that you’re looking at them, but there’s no REASON…
