We still haven’t come up with a word to replace “ring” despite the fact that phones haven’t had physical bells inside them for decades.

its called Ring Tone now…. so yes a change .. kinda.

The technology changes, but preteen phone call angst never does! (Come to think of it, in my case, it’s not just a preteen thing…)I still draw tvs with rabbit ears sometimes – otherwise it doesn’t look to me like a tv!

When I was fifteen calling a girl was one of the hardest things to do. I would dial up to the last digit then lose my nerve.

Don’t get it. If she wants the phone to ring, why is she running away (indicated by the classic cartooning device of dust clouds left in a fleeing character’s wake) from the phone?

I just figured out that Jeri is jumping with fright up.
