I love egg nog; I warm it up. It gives it a whole new flavor and is even better than cold. However, the only fruitcake I’ve ever liked was my father-in-law’s, but he died in 1998 and didn’t leave the recipe. Brick-like, it was NOT.
I have a Fruitbrick that’s been on a Regifting Cycle since 2007, going for a new record. The previous record-holder lost its position when some recipient, new to the RC, actually opened the wrapping, thus voiding its standing. And clearing a crowded room.

Egg nog and fruitcake were originally April Fools jokes, and the only way they could get rid of them was to give them away at Christmas.

I love egg nog, especially with a dram of whiskey in my cup first. And fruitcake—-I even like lousy fruitcake, but Collin Street Bakery is the best!
