The trouble is that early-explorer activities, such as beating small rocks with a large rock until the smaller rocks are broken into dust, just doesn’t have the same appeal as we age. As opposed to beating our electronic controllers with our equally fragile fingers until each item is broken into a more destroyed version of itself.
Come on, you two.Take a walk. Enjoy the sun on your body. If there’s a park nearby, feel the grass on your feet. Dip your feet into the water, providing the water is good. Lay under a tree and read or just chill.
I grew up in the Corpus Christi area of Gulf coast Texas back in the ‘40s and 50s. The heat and humidity never bothered me. I usually went bare foot and shirtless with shorts the whole summer. If I could I would return to that time in an instant. I feel sorry for kids now who can’t enjoy that kind of freedom like I did.

I would read a book in the cool shade. Summers in Houston are too hot now and in 1970.
