I jokingly told my daughters that, when it came to word-count book reports, “very” is your friend. Thankfully they knew I was joking.

Can’t believe a kid I heard today thought Huckleberry Finn was too boring to read beyond the first chapter. But at least better than the other kid who had never heard of Huck.
