Yeah. Why limit it to the healthcare industry?

Right on, ickymudd! then the repubs shut down the government, adding $24 billion to the national debt in order to deny healthcare to their constituents. But that’s ok, they’ll make it up by taking food from hungry children and the elderly and denying WIC to pregnant mothers and their infants. Meanwhile, Paul Ryan will still be able to blow $700 on wine for one meal.

Probably no conspiracy, various bureaucrats just like to add a little stuff into things so they have a sense of actually doing something. The larger the amount of people with some measure of control, the more screwed up a law gets.

Just perpetuating St. Ronald of Reagan’s meme “I’m from the government and I’m here to help”. Repubs run on the platform that government doesn’t work; once they are elected, they prove it true.

Obama is the current generation’s Jimmy Carter. I used to affirm that Jimmy was a reverse barometer for good policies, but he got three things right: deregulation of air fares, decontrol of bank interest rates, and deregulation of interstate trucking rates. I await President Obama’s first intelligent decision.
