Who knew the party of personal responsibility would quail at a psychopath’s tweets?

For decades I used to say that the sin of the Democrats was to put forward candidates so awful that they made even Republicans look good. But now things are reversed. For the first time in my life I expect to vote for a Democrat for President. (I hedge that only because there is still a lot that can happen between now and when I mail in my ballot.)

The announcement came on Twitter shortly before 1 a.m. after news that Hope Hicks, one of the president’s closest aides, had tested positive for the disease that has killed over 205,000 Americans.

News of the diagnosis comes after the president last night told a Catholic charity dinner in a recorded message “the end of the pandemic is in sight” and after he mocked rival Joe Biden for his frequent use of masks at the debate on Tuesday.

With just 32 days until the election — and 13 days until the next presidential debate — the 74 year-old president will quarantine at home for an unspecified amount of time. White House physician Sean P. Conley said the president could continue to carry out his duties “without disruption while recovering” from the White House.

It remains unclear just how far the infection may have spread among senior White House officials who are often seen without masks.

Trump has persistently pushed to reopen the country, downplayed the virus and repeatedly insisted it was on its way out.

Though many people who test positive don’t become seriously ill, Trump as an older American is more vulnerable.

Toughest job in the world this morning: Dr. Fauci, who has to refrain from saying, “I told you so.”

Don’t worry about Trump; he’ll be fine. Give him a little hydroxy, inject some disinfectants, stick an ultraviolet light down his throat, and he’ll be good as new in no time!

I understand there’s a new bumper sticker around Washington, D.C. these days; “Honk if You’ve been Tweeted!” /s

Yawn. How is blind loyalty to this President any different than the blind loyalty to the previous one, or the one before, or the one before? It isn’t the man, it’s what supporters voted for them to do where their loyalties lie.

Last thing we need is Saint Don the Con, patron saint of racists, getting any kind of sympathy vote. He didn’t go off the rails the Republican party did, he just sat in the cab and gleefully blew the whistle and rang the bell merrily. I hope he stays relatively healthy at least through November 3rd. If he only has a mild case it will not change the fact that a quarter million Americans faced much worse.

Generally, I stay away from political commentary – but I will say this Washington DC, in the 2016 election went over 92% Clinton in exit polling. I think the evidence points to a certain amount of “cult of personality” on both sides of this argument.

So, basically, Stantisfernuthin’s spectrum ranges from lukewarm water that needs to be expectorated to anti-POtuS

VICTIM?!? “VICTIM of one of his tweets”?? How utterly pathetic, but that’s exactly how this craven bunch has behaved. But how fortunate everyone is to have revealed exactly how much this bunch cares about representing ANYone, or any THING but their own interests. Get a clue people and look at the reality.
