    Unless we’re in a death spiral, normal progress is 2 steps forward and one step back. Human nature divides normally between right/left viewpoint. US system of govt is designed to examine issues from right/left viewpoints to arrive at the optimal solution. Rabid partisanship defeats any design and guarantees the death spiral. Those left behind by globalization turned to Trump. He saw them as marks, but he heard them. Economists who advocated globalization assumed they would be accommodated by legislators. Silly rabbits…

    21st century Rural America = 1960s Ghetto America in terms of opportunity. We need to all step back, deescalate, and find common ground.
