    True story, Word of Honor:

Joseph Heller, an important and funny writernow dead, and I were at a party given by a billionaireon Shelter Island.

I said, “Joe, how does it make you feelto know that our host only yesterdaymay have made more moneythan your novel ‘Catch-22’has earned in its entire history?”

And Joe said, “I’ve got something he can never have.”

And I said, “What on earth could that be, Joe?”

And Joe said, “The knowledge that I’ve got enough.”

    Not bad! Rest in peace!

Fine line between contentment and complacency. I’ll go along with Zappa, not important to be remembered. It is important to feel you’ve done enough to pass on no less than you received. … if you can fake that you’re golden… ;P

It’s like a woman I used to date who had to try on every dress in the mall before she went back and bought the first one she looked at.
