No close calls on the freeway Friday night/Saturday morning. But I did see two motorcycles doing 104 mph on I-290 and a blue sedan doing 107 mph on I-90 in Rosemont. My truck has forward facing radar for the adaptive cruise control and emergency braking.

I listen to Kamala, think of her record, and know I have to vote for Trump to keep her out. Then I listen to Trump, think of his record, and can’t let him in either. The third party doesn’t have a viable candidate. We need a fourth party!

I can do without an adrenaline rush with my vote count certification…

Rtholtz’s reading list is always worth a look: • Fox News: The Engine of Disinformation That Shaped and Shattered America: From the moment it launched, Fox News wasn’t interested in being a conservative counterweight to the so-called liberal media. It set out to create an alternate universe where facts were malleable, and the truth was whatever kept its audience hooked. Think of it as a political reality show, except instead of roses, viewers were handed fear, outrage, and lies. It wasn’t about keeping the public informed; it was about keeping them addicted. Our democratic-republic is designed to be a mess. Freedom of choice for every American could be over 330 million choices. The majority wins, even with our electoral college system. Those who don’t win can try harder nest time. A peaceful transfer of power is the key to the U.S. being Great.

As long as there is ONLY a 2-party system, there will ALWAYS be a nightmare.

One of the topics at a recent convention of editorial cartoonists was how they were being fired and/or their work was being rejected by editors because the editors feared retribution by Trump’s thugs. So, it seems to me that Trump actually is the leader of a domestic terrorist group. Apparently, the powers that be are not willing to deal with him – politicians are cowards just as those seeking popularity in high school and bullies are. It is frightening to think of what is likely to happen a month from now as it has been demonstrated that Trump can actually get away with anything.

I feel exactly the same way about ballots and guns – keep them away from idiots and the rest of us will be quite fine, thank you very much.
