Most dogs can hear and understand, so don’t announce out loud the way you’re about to try to trick them to take their pill. We had a dog who would only take her pill when it was wrapped in a specific brand American cheese – It was expensive, but it worked.
Two blocks can equal 2 miles – Just depends on where you live, and what defines a block in your area. The block where my parents live is 1½ miles around, and the high school is at the halfway mark, and you have to go up hills to get there no matter which route you take. I would choose my route depending on my mood. If I wanted to dawdle, I would take the “hidden” route (not much traffic). But if I was in a hurry, I would take the main route because someone usually offered me a ride so I wouldn’t have to walk up the steep hill – The other route’s hill isn’t as steep. There was also the “cut through the neighbors’ yards” route, but that was really frowned upon because it sometimes took you through the woods and swampland.
It’s illegal in most places. Here they dump them on the ground under the cluster mailboxes. It’s annoying, but safer than when they tossed them at the front doors – The vision impaired people would trip on them because they couldn’t see them.
I remember when I was the “remote” – My father told me to get up and change the channel for him. LOL My current TV has no buttons on it. You have to use the remote to adjust everything. I usually watch TV from my desk, and sometimes from my recliner. Nine out of ten times I will get comfortable in my recliner, then will see that the remote is across the room on my desk – At least it’s good exercise to get up and get it. LOL
I also laughed out loud.
