There was this older guy in our area who made fantastic dandelion wine (much better than my own concoction). Upon first taste you would call it ‘bottled sunshine’. Unfortunately, he took the recipe with him to his grave.

Trouble was, seems they would rather drink from the stagnant mud puddle in the barnyard than walk the extra 50 feet to get the spring water from the fountain inside the barn. However, we were the stupid ones. We had a wonderful spring and should have sold the water instead of processing it through the dairy.
