If I were a senator, I would’ve been there already and wanted him impeached before this new thing. Anyone who was going to vote no should’ve been there already with the lying under oath, and anyone who was willing to still vote yes will likely not be swayed by this new thing, because they’ve already decided lying under oath wasn’t enough for them to vote no.
That might be almost as interesting as finally seeing Trump’s financials and then have him sign a promise to never write a book or profit (any more) in any way from his abuses.
I think he kind of counts on it. Also, he doesn’t care. If he feels that it wins him the moment even most fleetingly, it’s worth it to him. By the time those that care about the truth have shown it to be the lie that it is, he and his swirling miasma have moved on, leaving another dozen or so half-truths and lies in their wake. The Trump thing is a whirling dust devil kicking up a haze of grift and deceit.
