McDonald’s annual gross profit for 2023 was $14.563B, a 10.26% increase from 2022 (per Marcotrends). Should that be concentrated at the top who guided it or shared with the many who delivered it? Discuss.

It always an interesting exercise to google “ funding”. Try googling “Moms for Liberty funding”.

No, I support free speech for Republicans and Democrats, even if I don’t like the message. I think you may be referring to Jan 6 when police were assaulted and beaten, the Capitol windows and doors were broken in and a mob was looking for elected officials to assault and hang. I think a commentor or a cartoonist equating that insurrection with either Republican or Democrat free speech is really just shouting for attention and not really looking to have a useful discussion.

Free speech is considered dangerous – so dangerous that the Tennessee Republicans expelled 2 people who used it.

I went to both the Atlantic site listed and the Wallet hub site from which it was supposedly sourced. It was not clear how the Atlantic drew their graph. For example, they show SC getting the “most bang for their dollar”, yet on the WalletHub site (https://wallethub.com/edu/states-most-least-dependent-on-the-federal-government/2700), it shows SC as #11 on the list of “most Federally dependent states”. #1 was Alaska, followed by Mississippi, Kentucky, West Virginia and Montana. Can somebody reconcile how the Atlantic came to what appears to be a different conclusion than the actual data authors did?
